As 2018 ends, it’s time to look back at what I have learnt and what are my achievements over the past year.
Even though I have shared things I have learnt in my first year of business, not only a lot has changed since then, but I have also learnt a heck of a lot too.
Whether you love him or hate him, there is no denying that Gary Vaynerchuk aka Gary Vee is the type of person who does not stop when it comes getting his message out, and ‘Crushing It’ is his latest book on leveraging the power of the internet to grow your personal brand.
And the key thing is about personal brand, the foundation and the key to living the life you want (and that’s not necessarily a life of fame, money and popularity).
As part of my 2018 goal, I have decided to read 1 book a month. As much as I enjoy reading, I don’t put enough time or effort in to do it often and consistently.
But halfway though January, I have already finished ‘Triggers’ by Marshall Goldsmith (perhaps I should read 2 books a month).
It’s a really great read for those who want to be aware of how the environment around them can trigger emotions within you, and how you can control and create that environment, and not allow the environment to control you.
In this episode, I talk about the power of challenging and how important it is that you continuously test your limit to help you grow as a person but also to make it exciting and memorable too.
After setting my personal challenges, I realised the benefits of doing so and I wanted to talk about it in order to encourage you to do the same.
Because if you don’t challenge yourself, then you don’t know what you are capable of.
In this episode, I talk about the importance of…you’ve guessed it…persistence.
It’s a small thing that can have a dramatic impact in your life. Without it, you will not be able to become an expert, a specialist, the go-to person.
Without it, you will not grow, you will not inspire and you will not change your life.
