This is a very special announcement as I record The IgniteRock Podcast one last time before saying goodbye. Even though it has been a fun journey, it was the right time to say goodbye and move on to something new.
And I wonder what could that be?!
It’s a short and quick episode where I talk about the following:
- why am I saying goodbye?
- my plan to continue podcasting but in a different format
- what I’ve learnt from it
- my thanks to you
Ahmed Khalifa: Hello everyone. I have a very special announcement to make. You may have noticed that I’m not doing the usual loud, screaming, Indian intro with the loud music. And that is because this will be the very last episode of The IgniteRock podcast.
Don’t worry. It’s not a sad occasion. I think it’s going to be something to celebrate. And something that I would rather have done. But I will continue to podcast, it’s just going to be in a different format. So, if you have subscribed, stick around. If you haven’t, why not? Just get subscribing.
But it’s been a crazy fun journey, but it has been a lot of work in the background, to looking for people to interview, looking for those who you’d work with, inspiring people, and getting to share their expertise and tips. It took me on a journey where I got to speak to smart people. You get to learn how to broadcast in a sense, and also how to set it up, and publish it, and promote it, all that kind of thing.
But I’ve realised its time for a change. More of a pivot really, if you like.
So normally I would interview people and I have slipped in a few thorough episodes, as well, in the middle. But, from next week I’m going to be changing and mixing things up. So I will be focusing more on making sure that you are up-to-date with everything that’s going on in the digital world. So, its everything from Google, to WordPress, to YouTube, to online business news, just to make sure that anything you need to be aware of, you’re up-to-date with it and you are ahead of the competition.
I may still do interviews now and then. You never know, I might have someone interesting to share a particular story, news, or maybe share some advice.
But I realise that maybe, you know, you should change things up. I have changed a lot of things in my business and, if you have noticed it or not, I have changed IgniteRock, because IgniteRock is no more. I have kind of rebranded to focus on my own personal brand because people want to work with me, talk to me, kind of interact with me, not with a brand.
So I have changed a lot of things in the background throughout the end of the year of 2017. New Year, 2018, you know, you get started with fresh ideas to do. And I even redecorated my office. It’s a fresh start like that. So I wanted to change things, and I wanted to kind of move forward and do something else.
But there’s no regret, no regret from doing this. I mean, the whole point of doing anything in life whether it’s your hobby, or business, or activity, anything like that is, you try it out. You try it out and you see how it works. Maybe you make some tweaks here and there, make some adjustment, and see how that works, and then keep going. Like a cycle in a sense. It’s like an evolution.
And that’s what I’m doing with my business and my podcast as well. The back episode, all the previous episodes I’ve done, the last 35 episodes of the IgniteRock, podcasts will still be there. You can still listen to it. It’s still relevant. It’s still useful for you to listen to it and learn about kind of growing an online business, maximising the potential of your WordPress site. And it will always be there.
But from this moment and onwards, I’m going to be changing things. The name will be different, the intro will be different, the format will be different. And I hope you will like it. I hope you enjoy it. And I always appreciate your feedback and your support.
And that’s another thing I want to say is to thank you. Thank you for your support along the way. I really, really appreciate it. I’ve really enjoyed reading the comments, the feedbacks in the new, and the emails, and the reviews, all these kind of things, I absolutely love it, and I cherish all of them.
And I would love it if you would stick around and stay tuned for a different type of podcast next week. I just want to make sure that you are ahead of the competition, you are up-to-date, and you are armed with the right information that will help you to grow online.
So there’s nothing left to say, but here we go everyone.
For one last time, thank you.
